This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it! At Northfield Retirement Community, we have been extremely blessed on so many different fronts.

From our frontline caregiving professionals to our maintenance team; from our administrative team to our food service providers; from our transportation providers to our spiritual leaders; Northfield Retirement Community has demonstrated a keen ability to attract talented, hardworking, dedicated folks who believe in the mission of developing living environments and outreach services as works of love and mercy for aging individuals.

We are blessed with a dedicated and passionate board of directors, committed to ensuring we are wise stewards of our resources. They are consistently considering the possibilities for how we can continue to best extend our mission. They are the guardians of our future.

Northfield Retirement Community is blessed with fantastic partner congregations throughout the area. In the past year or so, we have rededicated ourselves to connecting with those partner congregations to share ideas, concerns and opportunities for enhancing each others’ missions. As we have gone out to speak with congregational councils and pastors throughout the region, we have been heartened by the spirit of collaboration and the sense of common mission. We look to continue strengthening those partnerships into the future.

Northfield is a tremendous community. The support we have received throughout the life of our organization from our friends and neighbors has been nothing short of astounding. A year ago, we were recognized by the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce as the Business of the Year. That honor is reflective of the kind of support we have received in Northfield. We couldn’t be more blessed with community support.

Finally, and most importantly, we are blessed with wonderful clients and residents. The fact that we have the opportunity to surround ourselves with some of the finest people to have ever walked this earth is a gift beyond belief. Their energy, their humor, their willingness to share life’s experiences make it a joy to come to work every day.

Welcome to the 2012 Annual Meeting (view the full Annual Meeting Report here). Thank you for your commitment and participation. There is, indeed, great reason to rejoice and be glad. Thanks be to God!

Your Brother in Christ,

Kyle Nordine
President & CEO
