A: At NRC, we offer multiple housing options for our residents, including apartments with a minimal level of services, as well as other home settings that make increasing levels of service readily available. Options include one- and two-bedroom apartments. Units are available for both income-sensitive and market-rate income levels.

A: We accept private pay, medical assistance (in the Care Center), and in qualifying areas of our housing, we accept waivered assistance programs through Rice County.

Q: How does NRC compare?
A: Northfield Retirement Community is proud to receive and maintain the Leading Age of Minnesota Confident Choices designation. The Program was designed by Leading Age of Minnesota, the state’s largest association of organizations that serve older adults. The requirements for Confident Choices designation have been developed by experienced senior housing providers and are focused on areas of operation that have a direct impact on the resident experience.
NRC’s Care Center has received My InnerView’s annual Excellence in Action award for five years in a row. This national award honors the facility’s commitment to superior customer and workforce satisfaction. Participating nursing homes from across the United States took part in a satisfaction survey, and of nearly 5,500 participants, the award recognizes only those providers that performed in the top 10 percent.
