Northfield Retirement Community has so much to offer every resident. Each resident has access to a wide variety of lifestyle choices that will serve mind, body and spirit.
Faith – Recognizing the importance of your spiritual life, we provide full-time spiritual care services to meet the spiritual needs of a resident and support our mission to residents, family members, and employees. NRC has both on-site Pastoral Care and a Parish Nurse at work in the community providing one-on-one and group services. All denominations and faiths are respected and supported at NRC.
Fitness - Staying physically fit is important. NRC’s Fountain Fitness Center offers a complete fitness regime with our own fitness coordinator.
Life Trails™ - A system of exercise stations surrounding or beautiful campus, miles of walking paths and indoor hallways for walking in inclement weather.
Social Activities - Keeping active is a priority at NRC. We offer a large variety of events and activities to stay healthy in mind, body, and spirit.
Corner Clinic - Our on-campus clinic offers a weekly “wellness clinic” where you can get health related questions answered by a registered Nurse. The Corner Clinic also offers Massage Therapy, as well as Dental, Optical and Medical Doctor Visits.
Main Street Café - Open to the public and residents alike, our Main Street café offers home-cooked meals with daily specials.
Emelda’s marketplace - Groceries, gifts, greeting cards, and ATM: it’s all here for your convenience!
Northwoods Salon - Our full-service professional, licensed, hairstyling staff will pamper you from head to toe.
WIFI - Internet access is easy at NRC. We offer WIFI throughout the campus for residents and families. (Limited availability at Northfield Manor)
Nygaard Movie Theater - Enjoy the latest movie in our state of the art performance theatre. An extra-large, wide-screen television and movie projection screen coupled with our surround-sound system makes every show come alive. Personal listening devices that work in a number of locations on the campus are also available for personal purchase or shared usage on a first come first served basis. The theater offers several motion pictures per week and is also available to reserve for private resident use.
Library - Our up-to-date library provides computer stations that make access to email and the Internet fast, reliable and private.
Lounges - There are many spots to relax and enjoy the company of others or just get a little time for you! We have large, small, and cozy viewing lounges, garden areas and patios that offer a wide variety of indoor and outdoor refuge.
