Holden Completes Prestigious Leadership Training Curriculum

Shelley Holden, Northfield Retirement Community’s Vice President of Housing and Property Management, recently completed the curriculum for the prestigious Aging Services of Minnesota Leadership Academy.

Holden was one of only 25 fellows selected for the organization’s competitive leadership development program.

Holden said, “I was very honored to be selected. The experience has been extremely rewarding for me in my own personal growth, and I’ve been able to use the trainings, discussions and practices we explored in the program to extend the principles of leadership to others here at NRC.”

The Aging Services of Minnesota Leadership Academy is designed specifically to cultivate high-potential leaders in Minnesota’s field of aging services. Leadership Academy Fellows embark on a rigorous journey of leadership theory, self-reflection, critical skill development and action learning. Holden became part of the group representing a new generation of transformational learning in Minnesota that will drive positive change for their organizations, the seniors and families they serve, and the broader aging services community.

"We are proud to have Shelley as a core member of our management team and part of the NRC family," said Kyle Nordine, President and CEO of NRC. “Shelley’s commitment to our residents and to NRC as a whole is without match. She’s driven to set high standards for us as an organization, and to helping put into place concrete structures for us to achieve them. We are extremely fortunate to have her as a part of our staff.”
