Northfield Care Center Ranked Among the Best by U.S. News & World Report

NRC is proud to announce that the “Best Nursing Homes 2013” list published by U.S. News & World Report has awarded Northfield Care Center a five-star rating, the top possible rating for nursing homes in the United States.

U.S. News & World Report reviewed meaningful data and rankings from nearly every nursing home in the country – over 16,000 – to build a searchable database designed to highlight the nation’s best care facilities.

A rating was awarded in each of three categories: state-conducted health inspections, nursing and physical therapy staffing, and quality of medical care. The ratings are combined to produce an overall rating of one to five stars.

In January 2013, 3,036 nursing homes – just about 1 out of every 5 that were surveyed – earned an overall rating of five stars from the federal government. Their profiles on usnews.com display a badge in recognition of this status.
