NRC's Annual Holiday Appeal

Our holiday season of giving is here! At this time of year, we at Northfield Retirement Community are reminded of you, members of our giving family – and we give thanks.

NRC recently mailed its yearly Holiday Appeal to its friends and supporters. This popular giving option allows NRC to continue to provide exceptional housing, care facilities and services for the seniors on our campus.

For each gift of $35 or more given in honor or in memory of a loved one, a poinsettia will be added to our Holiday Tree, beautifying the NRC Chapel, reflecting the true meaning of Christmas, and creating a festive atmosphere for Advent and Christmas worship.

Support

Gifts ensure that NRC’s innovative services and exceptional programming will enhance older adults’ quality of life for years to come. Giving options include the Pathways of Faith Park, the Spiritual Life Endowment, the NRC Family Fund or an undesignated gift that can be used where it is most needed.

•  Pathways of Faith Park offers the citizens of Northfield and residents of NRC a place of natural beauty where they can meditate, spend time in fellowship with family and friends, gather as a community and volunteer.

•  The Spiritual Life Endowment will ensure spiritual care and chaplaincy services for residents for years to come.

•  The NRC Family Fund will provide financial support for residents experiencing an unexpected financial challenge, enabling them to remain on campus and receive the care and services they need, keeping the NRC family together.

How to Give

Gifts may be designated in honor or in memory of a friend or family member, adding a lovely poinsettia plant to adorn the Holiday Tree and pay tribute to your loved one. We offer both mail and online donation options.

Mail Us Your Donation

  • If you would like to send a check, you can make it payable to Northfield Retirement Community Foundation for the total amount of your gift ($35 for each plant).
  • Please write “Holiday Appeal” on the memo line of the check and be sure to include your full name and address on a separate piece of paper, as well as the giving option (ex: Pathways of Faith Park) and name of the person you would like to honor or memorialize.
  • Gifts should be addressed to Ingrid Anderson Sampo, Northfield Retirement Community Foundation, 900 Cannon Valley Drive, Northfield, MN 55057.
  • Thank you for your gift!

Give Online

  • To give now, click here.
  • On the right-hand side of the page, select the “Other” gift option.
  • Type in your total amount ($35 for each plant).
  • Click “Donate.”
  • On the left-hand side of the next screen, select the frequency at which you would like to donate.
  • Next, click “Dedicate this donation.” Write “Holiday Appeal,” followed by the giving option and then “In honor of” or “In memory of” with the individual’s name. Ex: “Holiday Appeal, Pathways of Faith Park, in honor of John Doe.”
  • Click “Proceed.”
  • Continue through the payment screen and click “Complete.”
  • Thank you for your gift!
