Northfield Retirement Community (NRC) welcomes the community to participate in its 9th Annual NRC Golf Classic at Northfield Golf Club on Thursday, June 4. The NRC Golf Classic is an annual fundraising event hosted by the Northfield Retirement Community Foundation and provides broad support for the NRC mission of providing premier housing and care services to older adults.
Event organizer and NRC Vice President of Long Term Care Operations Tom Nielsen shared, “The NRC Golf Classic is one of our favorite events of the year. It’s a chance to show support for the mission of NRC while enjoying a friendly day of golf in the company of good friends and community members. We are so grateful for everyone who comes out and helps to make our mission possible.”
The Northfield Retirement Community Foundation exists to provide support for NRC’s mission, programs and services by raising monies through grants, appeals, campaigns and individual gifts. Proceeds from the 9th Annual NRC Golf Classic will help fund the purchase of a Biodex Balance System SD, which will help improve the mobility, balance and agility of NRC residents.
The Golf Classic features 18 holes of golf held in a scramble format, along with lunch and an elegant banquet dinner. There are multiple prize opportunities for participants, including hole-in-one prizes and a putting contest. The event kicks off at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at Northfield Golf Club. Registration and lunch begin at 11 a.m. and the awards ceremony and dinner take place at 5:30 p.m. For more information or to register, call 507-645-9511.
