2016 Golf Classic Raises $38,250
As the sun set on Thursday, June 2, Northfield Retirement Community closed out its 10th Annual Golf Classic, this year held at Northfield Golf Club. The event brings together the greater NRC community and provides financial support for NRC projects and programs. 108 friends and supporters participated in the Golf Classic and helped to make a beautiful day even better, raising over $38,250.
Proceeds raised will fund the purchase of the It’s Never 2 Late (iN2L®) adaptive technology, a system that will allow NRC residents to use computers and hundreds of applications to engage in meaningful activities, regardless of their experience or abilities. All of the activities on the iN2L® platform are carefully designed to provide aging adults with programs to enhance cognitive function, socialization and quality of life. It is especially effective in its use with persons with dementia.
Reflecting on this year’s NRC Golf Classic, Kyle Nordine, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “Thank you, everyone, for your support. What a privilege to see so many of our supporters out on the course. This year’s tournament was a lot of fun and will have a significant impact on our activity programs and the services we can provide to our residents.”
Stay tuned for details on next year’s June tournament, where we will gather together to support our mission of enhancing the lives of older adults in our community through exceptional care and programs reflecting innovation, choice and our strong tradition of spiritual programming.
