2017 Golf Classic Set for June 1

Start hitting the driving range – the annual Northfield Retirement Community Golf Classic is set to take place on Thursday, June 1, 2017. The NRC Golf Classic will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Northfield Golf Club (707 Prairie Street, Northfield). NRC welcomes anyone to participate in the 18-hole, scramble format golf tournament and contribute to this annual fundraiser, which will be followed by a banquet dinner and brief program.

Participants can register for the Golf Classic online. A mail-in option is also available by filling out the registration card found on the event website. Entry options include single player ($150) or foursome ($560). Dinner only is available for $50. Entry fee includes range balls, 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, steak and shrimp dinner, one mulligan, door prize drawings and a drawing for entry into the putting contest. The first place team will take home $400, the second place team will receive $300, and third through tenth place teams are entered into a drawing for $200.

Proceeds from the event will allow NRC to continue to invest in the It’s Never 2 Late (iN2L®) adaptive technology. This technology has been proven to enhance the quality of life of those with dementia by keeping dementia patients connected with their friends and family and offering them meaningful activities.

A range of sponsorship opportunities is also available. More information on sponsorships can be found on the golf event website or by calling Deborah Ward at 507-664-3480.

More than 100 players participated in the 2016 NRC Golf Classic and raised over $38,250, with the proceeds funding the purchase of the iN2L adaptive technology.
