Kyle Nordine Named to LeadingAge Minnesota's "50 for the Next 50" List
Kyle Nordine, President and CEO of Northfield Retirement Community (NRC), has been named to LeadingAge Minnesota’s "50 for the Next 50". The list recognizes innovative and influential leaders who are charting the course for the next wave of older adult services that will empower Minnesotans to age well and live fully.
“'50 for the Next 50' are pioneers, challenging the status quo to transform and enhance the experience of aging,” said Gayle Kvenvold, President and CEO of LeadingAge Minnesota. “These leaders are making forward-looking innovations in service delivery, elevating the profession of caregiving and best preparing Minnesota for the future needs of its aging population. We are energized by what lies ahead with the mix of these experienced and next generation leaders at the helm.”
Nordine has served as President and CEO of NRC since 2002. During this time, he has helped to shape the future of senior care in rural communities across the state, understanding the challenges that rural communities face to meet the financial pressures of providing exceptional care in a heavily regulated industry. He has been a champion for aging-in-place, pioneering the use of in-home assistive technology solutions and implementing strategies to make the technology more accessible in communities around the region.
In addition to his leadership at NRC, Nordine has provided state-level leadership, having been appointed by the Governor of Minnesota to act as Chairman of the Minnesota Nursing Home Board of Examiners. He also served on the LeadingAge Minnesota Board of Directors (formerly Minnesota Association of Homes for the Aging) for 11 years, including time as Chairman. Nordine currently serves on the Public Policy Committee of LeadingAge Minnesota and is a Certified Senior Advisor. His involvement in the Northfield community includes serving as a member of the Rice County Citizens Health Advisory Committee and on the Northfield Healthy Community Initiative’s Board of Directors. Nordine is a member of the Rotary Club of Northfield and is a Paul Harris Fellow.
“It is a true honor to be recognized in this way and by your peers,” says Nordine. “My contributions to NRC and the industry have been a labor of commitment to make quality aging better today and in the future. It’s a privilege to stand alongside each of the 49 individuals honored and to be in a position to positively shape the future of care for aging adults and their caregivers.”
