Celebrate 50 Years with NRC
Building Community Since 1969
For 50 years, Northfield Retirement Community has provided high-quality housing and services, specially designed to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of older adults. Over that half-century, NRC has added many people to its family and shared many meaningful stories that capture the essence of the organization – from its residents and staff to its community partners and supporters.
“We are proud to celebrate 50 years of serving older adults in our community,” says Kyle Nordine, President and CEO of Northfield Retirement Community. “We’ve formed countless partnerships and celebrated special milestones over the years. Past and current, it goes without saying that many dedicated people and wonderful residents make our history worth honoring.”

To date, the organization has grown to include 250 staff members and up to 400 residents.
You're Invited to Celebrate!
The community is invited to a 50th anniversary celebration on Saturday, September 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. on the NRC campus. Below is a schedule for the day.
- 1 p.m. – Take part in a self-guided campus walking tour with prizes
- 2 p.m. – Hear from special speakers
- 2:30 p.m. – Witness the opening of the 1969 time capsule
- 3 p.m. – Enjoy cupcakes and coffee in the beautiful NRC chapel
