Family Ties at NRC

NRC staff members often express that their co-workers begin to feel like family. For some staff members, being family is reality!

Director of Nursing Jen Warnke has worked at NRC for a total of eight years. “The staff is so warm and really care about each other, and the residents make me want to come to work.” One of these fellow staff members is Jen’s mom, Sandy.

ParkView Housing Coordinator Sandy Knutson, who has worked at NRC since 2014, says she loves working with residents, seeing their smiles and hearing their stories. She has the privilege of sharing many of these fun moments with her daughter as well.

“It is awesome to work with my daughter,” says Sandy. “What a blessing to see her first thing in the morning! I’ve loved watching Jen grow and mature into a successful leader.”

Sandy and Jen’s family connection with NRC doesn’t stop there – all three of Jen’s sons worked as dietary aides at NRC during their high school years. Trent, Jen’s youngest son, works in the ParkView dining rooms.

“It’s fun when people discover our family connections,” says Jen. “My grandma even lived at NRC for a year! I was her nurse, and my sons were able to visit her daily.”

At NRC, we are incredibly grateful for excellent team members like Sandy and Jen and the gifts from our generous donors that support an environment where four generations can come together and make a difference in the lives of others. We are dedicated to being an exceptional place to work and fostering a supportive environment for everyone on our team. Interested in joining our team?
